College of Cape Town Poetry Competition 2023 Shortlisted Poems

CONGRATULATIONS to those of you who have made it to the shortlist of the Poetry Competition!
It was not an easy task to select only eight poems from the 26 that were entered, but from these eight poems we will have our two winners and runners-up.
Don’t forget to attend the prizegiving ceremony on Tuesday, 30 May 2023 in the Thornton Road Hall at the Crawford Campus, from 11:00 to 13:00. All the participants will receive a certificate as well as prizes.
These are the shortlisted poems:
